Recorded on December 6, 2018 - On November 22, 2018, the Ontario government announced a number of changes to Ontario Works (OW) and the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).
In this webinar, presenters from the Income Security Advocacy Centre (ISAC) review the proposed changes to the social assistance system, what they will mean for low-income people in Ontario, and next steps that people in community can take.
Please note: One figure is incorrect on the slide about the impact of new earnings exemption rules on the total incomes of people on Ontario Works. The change in total income for a person who earns $300 a month net should be +$50 instead of +$100. The slides available for download below have been changed to reflect this correction.

Mary Marrone is the Director of Legal & Advocacy Services at the Income Security Advocacy Centre (ISAC). Jennefer Laidley is ISAC’s Research & Policy Analyst, and liz walker is ISAC’s Provincial Organizer.
