Information from York University: The Citizenship and Employment Precarity (CEP) research project studies the relationship between immigration status upon arrival and job prospects over time.

The project includes an online survey of persons living in the Greater Toronto Area who entered Canada without permanent residence. The survey will allow the team to gather information on the relationship between people’s immigration status upon arrival, work opportunities and overall health.

The CEP project is led by Prof. Luin Goldring at York University and Prof. Patricia Landolt at the University of Toronto in collaboration with community groups across the GTA. This project is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
