News from Ontario Native Women's Association

The Ontario Native Women's Association (ONWA) is a not-for-profit organization that works to empower and support Aboriginal women and their families in the province of Ontario.

ONWA offers Aboriginal Victim & Family Liaison service in Kenora and Thunder Bay region (Northern Ontario).

ONWA also offers criminal court support for female victims of violence & families of missing & murdered women.

The paper calls for increased research and funding to better understand the domestic and international sex trafficking of Indigenous women and girls in Ontario and beyond.
