Consumer Protection: Wireless Services (Cell Phone) Contracts - 2016 Update

Date:
February 01, 2016 (1 hour)

Recorded on February 1, 2016 - This webinar looks at cell phone and other wireless services agreements in light of the new rights and protections that consumers have under the Ontario Wireless Services Act and the federal Wireless Code. These new laws include important protections related to the length of service agreements, cancellation fees, roaming charges, and other issues that directly impact consumers. We look at the legislation and the agencies that govern the industry, what rights consumers have, and the remedies available to them if their service agreement does not comply with the law.
