It reviews the role of the Competition Bureau, the Ministry of Consumer Services, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre in combatting telephone trickery. Examples of recent versions of these scams will be reviewed so attendees will have an idea of what to watch for in their everyday lives.
