The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT)

The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) is part of Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General. The OPGT plays a role in protecting the rights and interests of mentally incapable adults. The OPGT also protects the interests of potential heirs when an Ontario resident dies leaving an estate and there is no one who can administer it.
