Information from OJEN: In collaboration with the Community Crisis Response Program (CCRP), the Ontario Justice Education Network is pleased to offer Know Where We Stand 2.0, a free professional development workshop and key element of OJEN's Legal Layers project. Legal Layers is a crisis response initiative stemming from OJEN's Changing Course program focused on education and awareness of agent of the landlord agreements (AOL) between property owners and law enforcement in Toronto.

This workshop offers youth workers, frontline service providers and those who support youth residents an opportunity to meet and connect with legal professionals, safety advisors, police officers and community advocates, to broaden their knowledge about the legal layers and issues that arise from agent of landlord agreements.

Key features of this workshop include scenario based activities, information sharing and break out sessions that explore the following:

  • Agent of Landlord agreements
  • Dealing with a trespass offence
  • Anti-social behaviour and evictions
  • Street Checks
  • Legal Impact of filming on private property.
  • Navigating community supports and more!
  • Lawyers, crisis response advocates, community safety advisors,  legal clinic reps and/or police officers will be available.

Registration is required and on a first come first serve basis. For more information contact OJEN by email: info@ojen.ca or call 416-761-9963 EXT: 285.
