Information from the Ontario Bar Association: Not a day goes by without a major cyberattack being reported in the media. However, it's not just large corporations that are being targeted. Hackers are targeting unsuspecting Canadians through their computers, mobile devices and even their smart appliances! Hackers are interested in steal financial information, engaging in identity theft, extorting payment and even blackmail. This talk will focus on some of the most common cyber threats out there and what steps average Canadians can take to avoid being a target of hackers. 

The presenter of this session will be Imran Ahmad, a Partner at the national law firm Miller Thomson LLP. Imran works with clients to help them avoid being the target of a cyberattack. He also advises clients on how to respond to cyberattacks.
