March 1 webinar: The Employment Standards Act, 2000 after Bill 148: Enforcing and shaping Ontario's new employment standards

Information from Income Security Advocacy Centre (ISAC): This session will provide an overview of key substantive employment standards changes introduced by Bill 148. This session will also provide an opportunity for clinic staff to collaborate and discuss legal and organizing strategies to help shape the ESA in a positive way for workers, including by identifying issues for strategic intervention and enforcement. The session will also link the legal and enforcement work with the broader $15 and Fairness campaign and the upcoming election.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this webinar you will know more about

·         Knowledge of the new substantive changes to the ESA

·         Survey of ESA issues clinic workers are seeing

·         Best practices for legal strategies to help win the best judgements and enhance enforcement

·         Linking legal strategies with organizing and the Fight for $15 and Fairness campaign
