If you are deaf and have had a bad experience communicating with the Police, share your story. The Ontario Association of the Deaf (OAD) is on a committee with CHS, ARCH Disability Law Centre, and Peel, Halton, and London Police Services. The focus of the committee is to improve communication with Police interaction with the Deaf, deafened, and people with hearing loss.

Having some examples of poor interaction will help them to know where improvement is needed. Your emails to OAD (lori@deafontario.ca) will remain strictly confidential with no names revealed.
