June 11-12: 2nd Annual Symposium on HIV, Law and Human Rights

From a Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network announcement:

The aim of the symposium is to stimulate dialogue and knowledge exchange between researchers, policy-makers, service providers, legal professionals, community organizations, and people living with HIV. This year's Symposium features an outstanding faculty of speakers reviewing the latest legal developments and emerging evidence on such HIV-related topics in a series of panel discussions and presentations. Topics include:

  • Criminalization of HIV Non-disclosure: New Developments and Community Responses;
  • Canadian Immigration Policy for People with HIV;
  • Maternal Health and the Right to Family for Women Living With HIV; and
  • Ensuring Equitable Access to Housing for HIV-Positive People.
