Housing and anti-poverty activists are concerned that the provincial government will not continue its funding of Rent Banks across the province and urge people to pressure politicians to do so.

For more information about Rent Banks and contact information for key politicians, see the Rent Bank fact sheet below produced by Neighbourhood Information Post.

As well, attached below is a template of a letter, produced by North York COSTI, which Rent Bank clients can use as a guide to write to their local political representatives.

People are also encouraged to send letters to the editor, particularly in response to the April 30 article in the Toronto Star called "Rent bank runs out of money: Agencies scramble, but province says funds will be available". The article is attached below.

There is a Facebook group called SAVE THE RENT BANK. Facebook members can access the group at www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=17135573407.
