Toronto youth suspended or expelled under the provisions of the Safe Schools Act, as well as pre-charge, post-charge, and pre-sentence youth who are being dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), are being referred to a promising new restorative justice diversion project in St. James Town and Regent Park.

The Peacemaking Circles Pilot Project is one of three Toronto-based projects initiated by Peacebuilders Iternational, an Ontario not-for-profit and a project of the Agora Foundation. All three programs of Peacebuilders International work to build community capacity for systemic conflict resolution and restorative justice practices.
